Hi,

My name is Jim Robinson, jRob for short, and if you haven’t guessed yet, I’m a photographer.

I’m lucky enough to take pics of awesome people. I get the chance to see inside a person’s soul for just a moment and capture that for all to see…it’s truly mind blowing.

It could be a tear falling from the first time mom’s cheek or the gaze of a man realizing for the first time that  ‘wow…I get to spend the rest of my life with this woman’.  Maybe its the sheer joy a child expresses when they are chasing bubbles in the back yard or getting a horsey ride from Dad. Or maybe, its lifelong friends sharing stories over a cup of coffee at the local joe shop. Whatever it is, I’m determined to get the REAL you when I pull my camera out of the bag.

Sure there is a place for the posed family shot or Christmas card image but what really blows my skirt up is when I capture people being themselves, not the plastic ones that tend to come out when a camera is around.

About this blogging thing. Kinda strange but cool at the same time. I plan on using this blog to keep in touch with friends and make new ones. And I’ll try to keep it entertaining while I show you what’s happening with my photography.

Here’s the deal about me and my photography

Word of warning….if you are looking for a politically correct photographer….move on. But if you are interested in wicked cool photos with rockin’ people and subjects, stick around. I hope to be an inspiration and available if you have any questions.

A little about myself.

  • politically incorrect
  • ice cream aficionado
  • true friend
  • phishead – miami dolphin fan (don’t say it….I’ve heard enough from you people this past year)
  • blubber hound – i tear up watching commercials, it’s really ridiculous
  • dog lover but not an owner – long story…
  • silly
  • sentimental
  • determined
  • helpful
  • wannabe athlete
  • unique view on most things

A little about my photography and what I do.

  • fun
  • did I say fun!
  • captures the out of the ordinary
  • love black/white and color images equally but for different reasons
  • laughing makes great shots
  • crying makes for great shots
  • ‘cheese’ is a forbidden word during a photo shoot
  • if you’re comfortable, the real you will come out

I guess that’s it for now. Give me a call, I’d love to meet you and get a chance to see the “real you”.

Catcha on the flip side :D

  1. Your photos are fabulous. Makes me seem so conservative in my photography! I need to alter
my perspective a bit. You have the ability
to make everyday things beautiful through simplicity.

Is that a self portrait on your main page?

  2. hey michelle,

thanks for taking the time to look at my photography. Everyone has a unique perspective it just takes some time to find it. Don’t think of it as conservative or daring but only unique. Once you learn to see things in a different way you will be amazed at how the world will look.

thanks again and have a great day. Let me know when you post some more shots. Your stuff is very good too.
    catcha later,
    jrob
